Everything on the list, one phone number
We’re a two-brother operation, which means the person who quotes your job is the person who does it. Below is what we actually do — not a keyword list.
The list on the fridge
Handyman repairs
Every house has one: the faucet that drips, the door that sticks in summer, the towel bar that came out of the drywall, the fan that rattles. Individually none of them is worth a service call from a big company — which is exactly why they sit there for two years. Give us the whole list and we work through it in one visit where we can.
What that includes
- Faucet, toilet and garbage-disposal replacement
- Running toilets, slow drains, leaking supply lines
- Doors that stick, sag, or won’t latch — including exterior doors
- Light fixtures, ceiling fans, dimmers and outlets
- Closet systems, shelving, TV and cabinet mounting
- Grab bars, handrails and railings secured to real framing
- Furniture and fixture assembly
- Weatherstripping and door sweeps
Repairs you can’t find afterward
Drywall & paint
A drywall patch is easy. A drywall patch that disappears into the wall around it is the actual skill — it comes down to matching the texture and feathering the edge far enough out. Our first Google review was a wall repair at a rental that looked, in the customer’s words, “like nothing ever happened.”
What that includes
- Nail pops, cracks, doorknob holes and furniture damage
- Large-section replacement after water damage
- Ceiling repair, including textured and popcorn ceilings
- Texture matching — orange peel, knockdown, smooth
- Corner bead repair and re-taping
- Interior painting, single room to whole house
- Exterior painting and prep
- Caulking and sealing before paint, not after
The part you never see decides how long it lasts
Tile, bathrooms & waterproofing
Most shower failures are not tile failures. They are waterproofing failures — an unsealed seam, a pan that doesn’t slope to the drain, a screw hole nobody sealed. We build the wet side first and we build it to be boring: sealed board, pre-sloped pan, every penetration treated. Then the tile goes on, set off a level line.
What that includes
- Full bathroom remodels, down to the studs
- Shower and tub surround tile
- Waterproof board and membrane systems, all seams sealed
- Pre-sloped shower pans and drain assemblies
- Large-format floor tile, properly back-buttered
- Grout, sealing and re-grouting
- Vanity, toilet and fixture installation
- Accessibility work — grab bars, curbless entries
Level cabinets, or nothing else lines up
Kitchen updates & remodels
A kitchen is a sequence, and skipping a step shows up three stages later. Cabinets that aren’t shimmed dead level give you counters that don’t sit flat and doors that never close right. We set the boxes properly, screw them into studs, and only then move on.
What that includes
- Cabinet installation, refacing and re-hanging doors
- Countertop templating, setting and sink cut-outs
- Backsplash tile with the layout planned so cuts fall out of sight
- Under-cabinet and recessed lighting
- Sink, faucet and disposal replacement
- Appliance install and fitting cabinets around it
- Pantry, drawer and organizer builds
- Full remodels — demo through final clean
Curb appeal that also keeps water out
Exterior, carpentry & dry rot
Out here the sun does as much damage as the rain. Finishes chalk, trim splits, fence posts go at ground level, and decks lose boards. We repair what can be repaired, replace what can’t, and refinish so it survives another few summers.
What that includes
- Fence and gate repair, posts reset in concrete
- Deck boards, stair treads and railing replacement
- Trim, fascia and siding repair
- Dry-rot cut-out and replacement
- Exterior door and threshold replacement
- Pressure washing, prep and exterior refinishing
- Small structural repairs and framing corrections
- Sheds, benches and built-from-scratch projects
Homes and offices, one-time or recurring
Cleaning
Cleaning is the other half of the company. Sometimes it follows our own construction work; sometimes it’s a standalone job — a move-out that has to pass inspection, an office that needs a regular crew, a rental that has to photograph well on Friday.
What that includes
- Move-in and move-out cleaning
- Post-construction and post-repair cleanup
- Recurring home cleaning, weekly or monthly
- Office and small commercial cleaning
- Deep cleans — kitchens, bathrooms, baseboards, inside cabinets
- Rental turnover cleans on a deadline
Questions
Straight answers, before you call
What does a handyman cost?
It depends on the job, and any honest answer has to. Small repairs are usually priced as a single visit; bigger work like tile, drywall or a remodel gets a written price before we start. What we won't do is give you a number over the phone and then change it once we're standing in your house. Call (650) 374-9848, describe what's going on, and you'll get a straight answer on price and timing. Our handyman pricing guide walks through how jobs get priced.
Do you take small jobs, or only big remodels?
Both, and we mean it. A single leaky faucet, one sticking door, a couple of light fixtures — those are real jobs and we show up for them. A lot of our customers started with one small repair four years ago and still call us first. Big outfits skip small work; we don't.
Which cities do you cover?
All 8 of them: Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Cupertino, Atherton, Redwood City, Sunnyvale, Mountain View. See our service areas for what we see in each one. If you're just outside one of them, call and ask.
Can you handle a full bathroom or kitchen remodel?
Yes. The Our Work page shows a bathroom taken down to the studs and rebuilt, and a kitchen taken back to bare studs and rebuilt. We do the waterproofing, the tile, the cabinets and the finish work.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Regularly. Turnover repairs, punch lists between tenants, and the recurring maintenance that keeps a unit rentable. We can work to a move-in date and send you photos when the unit is done.
Do you clean up after the work?
It's the name of the company. Floors get protected before we start, debris leaves with us, and the room gets wiped down before we hand it back. We also do standalone cleaning for homes and offices.
Got a list? Let’s get through it.
One phone call, a straight answer, and a real time we’ll be there. No call centers, no runaround.
